I’m the one you see thru the window across the street sitting in another Starbucks. I’ll be wearing Apple ear buds and have a smile…
I’m male and unavailable.

hi,
very nice site. you write very well. thoroughly enjoyed your take on the web 2.0 event. you’re going straight to my bookmarks!
You might have done a bit of research on your entry regarding “Follow The Profit.” It has been wrapped for well over 3 months now and some of your other info is incorrect and in that process you dismiss and pan it, sadly. There were great possibilities for groovy techie/digi talk…but you didn’t uncover that lead or source. Be careful with the earplugs, it is easy to become an automaton and pedestrian. The history alone on Timberlake was at least worth a mention.
Correction…that would be Timberline.
Hey Suzi, appreciate the comments on my blog post.
I try to be accurate in my posts, but may have missed something? http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809922560/details state the movie is still in production waiting release. I have no inside knowledge of the status. I was just wandered by the lodge and took the photo and chatted a bit.
Your right, I pre-judged the movie based on the yahoo review I read. I should have waited to reserve judgement after seeing it.
I would have loved to done a deeper review of the technology being used at Timberline as I’m fascinated by the amount of effort and work that goes into making a scene. Avid was the software and they were using standard cameras nothing like Silicon Imaging 2K Hi-Def cameras.
Again appreciate the comments and keeping me honest.
Thx.
-mac
Congratulations, your blog has been chosen as the motorcycle blog of the week.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email us.
Congrats!
Hi mac;
I am the Producer of “Follow the Prophet”;
Actually you didn’t read a “review” of the picture because it hasn’t screened for reviews yet;
What you read is called a “synopsis” of the picture.
The picture hasn’t been seen as it was just completed in July 2008. We are proud of our independent feature as it’s not only a great story but a great cause as well.
If you to followtheprophetmovie.com you can see a trailer about the movie.
I seriously doubt that you will ever “yawn” while watching it – unless yawning is your way of letting off tension…it’s a taut drama and a thriller…
We loved working with all the Portland crew and cast – and in particular many very talented young people who gave their hearts fully to the work.
When we screen in Portland we’ll send you an invite…
p.s. you can’t believe everything you read on IMDB or Yahoo, etc. various people go into those sites and often give inaccurate information. All the information isn’t verified. If you would like more info. on this project feel free to contact me through our website..
Thanks

@ Joan – Thank you for the comment. I think you are talking about my post of August ’07 at: https://macrant.wordpress.com/2007/08/16/follow-the-profit-the-movie/
I’m interested in seeing this movie and I was pre-mature in my less than positive comments about the script.
It was clear during my short time watching of the filming that the team was all about making a solid movie.
Cheers,
Mac
Mac;
We are in the competition at Santa Barbara International Film Festival for the World Premiere of “Follow the Prophet”.
Great town – wish you were here!
joan
Hi Mac:
It’ been a while since we shot in Portland and Mt. Hood. Our feature film “Follow the Prophet” is about to open theatrically at the Angelika Film Center in Houston while the polygamy trials go on there.
It’s Child Abuse Prevention month and opening night raises funds for Texas Center for the Missing; Amber Alert Coordinator.
We are receiving the “Remi Award” at the Houston WorldFest International Film Festival and the picture will debut across North America on VOD through Warner Brothers Digital Distribution on May 1 exclusive.
Want to see a preview?
check us out at http://www.followtheprophetmovie.com see the trailer, 30 sec and 60 second spot.
Let me know what you think.
Best regards,
Joan
@Joan – Congrats! A lot of work over a number of months and I’m sure your team is proud. The preview/trailer looks very compelling and certainly something I’d like to see. Thx for the follow up. I’ve stopped posting on this tech blog and moved to http://nwhog.wordpress.com which is focused on a motorcycle hobby. I’ll consider doing a post about your movie on that site if I can come up with some type of a motorcycle connection.
Cheers, -Mac
